Cutting Forest

The project aims at optimizing forest management through the application of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. The objective is to define sustainable ways of monitoring and identifying elements interfering with power lines, telephone lines or other linear distribution infrastructures.

Augmented Reality

The goal was to create a prototype capable of exploiting augmented reality as a support for all operations related to the fiber optic splicing process.

For this project, the following aspects were considered of fundamental importance:

Particular attention to the connection between virtual and real part;
Analysis of possible interfaces to be provided to the operator;
Constant user involvement through interviews and demos;
Analysis of critical issues and possible improvements within each sub-process related to the splicing activity;
Choice of Microsoft Hololens device.
